Getting your test results
Once a doctor has reviewed your test results, you can view them:
- via your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App)
- by phoning Reception on 01263 712461 after 11am
When you attend for any kind of test you will likely be given a guideline around wait times for the result. Whilst we understand that waiting for results can be scary, we do ask that patients wait this time before contacting the Surgery. Alternatively, you can continue to check your NHS app.
If your test results show that you need further tests or treatment, we will contact you. If your result is normal you will likely not be contacted unless the GP still wishes to investigate your symptoms. However please do not hesitate to contact us if your symptoms persist or change.
Questions about your results
If you wish to discuss your results further, please complete an online form including your concerns and availability, a member of the Reception team can then respond with a suitable appointment for you.
GP surgery blood tests
If you require a blood test as part of your care at Holt Medical Practice, (not requested by the hospital) then you can book a blood test appointment at the surgery via via reception on 01263 712 461 or you may receive a text with a self-booking link allowing you the freedom to book your own appointment. Alternatively, you can contact us via the admin query form with your availability and reception will respond with a convenient appointment for you.
