As of Monday 30th June 2025, Blakeney Surgery will be closed.
Background
Following an extended consultation, on 7th May 2024 the Primary Care Commissioning Committee (PCCC) approved the closure of Blakeney Surgery be allowed to close. A copy of the minutes of this meeting are available here.
In the period that followed, Blakeney Surgery remained temporarily open whilst the Practice arranged for the installation of a 24/7 Medicines Collection Machine at Blakeney Village Hall designed to increase patient flexibility and minimise the impact of the closure for many patients.
What happens now?
Patients who usually collected their medication from Blakeney Surgery have been spoken to individually and have made their nomination choices for future collections.
Where can patients collect their medication from after the Surgery closes?
- Holt Surgery (during opening hours)
- Melton Surgery (during opening hours)
- Blakeney Village Hall Medicines Collection Box (24/7)
- Holt Surgery Medicines Collection Box (24/7)
- Other third-party options (as arranged by the patient)
How can patients order their medication after the Surgery closes?
A new prescriptions post-box has been installed at Blakeney Village Hall (next to the Collection Machine) for repeat slip ordering. More information about other ways to order your medication can be found here.
What to do if you are personally concerned?
We have worked very hard to keep the impact of this closure to a minimum. But if patients are concerned, they can detail their concerns in an online form or call Reception on 01263 712461 to discuss their concerns.
