New Baby Support

Welcome To Parenthood

Congratulations on your new arrival!

Bringing home a new baby is an exciting time, but it can also feel overwhelming. Whether this is your first child or you’re growing your family, we’re here to help.

This page brings together useful information, important reminders and trusted resources to support you and your baby during those early months.

Important Things To Do

📝 Register Your Baby

Registering your baby with the practice as soon as possible helps ensure they can access NHS services, healthcare appointments and childhood vaccinations.

Register your baby

💉 Book Childhood Vaccinations

Vaccinations provide important protection against serious illnesses and are a key part of keeping your child healthy.

Our team will invite you when vaccinations are due, but it’s helpful to be aware of the timetable and ensure appointments are attended.

❤️ Remember Mum’s Postnatal Check

Mothers should book their postnatal review, usually around 6 to 8 weeks after birth.

This appointment is an opportunity to discuss physical recovery, emotional wellbeing, contraception, feeding and any concerns following pregnancy and birth. If you’re struggling to think of what to discuss, you can view & download the guide provided below.

If you have any concerns before then, please contact us.
