Autumn 2025 – Flu & COVID Vaccinations

Joint Flu and Covid vaccination clinics are now complete. Thank you to those that attended. Holt Surgery will be offering flu vaccinations to eligible patients up until 31st March 2026. If you were unable to attend the Surgery for a Covid vaccination, please book locally via the National booking system or by calling 119.

FLU ONLY CHILDRENS CLINIC

Children can catch and spread flu easily. Vaccinating them also helps protect others who are at higher risk of getting seriously ill from flu, such as babies, anyone who’s pregnant and older people.

ALL 2 – 3yr olds AND 4 – 18yr old at-risk children have been invited to have their Flu vaccine in children’s clinics at the Surgery. If you would like to arrange an appointment or discuss any concerns with our friendly team of nurses please fill in an online form.

We are NOT able to offer Covid vaccines to any eligible under 18yr olds. These patients will need to book to have their Covid vaccine via the National Booking System.

Care Home and Housebound Patients

We are in the process of vaccinating our housebound and care home patients and hope to complete vaccinations by mid-December.

The NHS defines a housebound person as someone unable to leave their home or surrounding area due to physical or mental health issues. Lack of transport does not automatically qualify someone as housebound however we will always consider your request.

If you or a loved one have experienced a change in circumstances and now require a home visit for your vaccinations, please fill in an online form and a member of staff will contact you.

Private vaccinations

Holt Surgery is not able to offer private Covid vaccinations. These can be booked via some local pharmacies such as Boots. For more information please click here.

Kelling Pharmacy is offering a private Flu vaccination service for £19.99. Please fill in an online form to arrange an appointment with the Pharmacy team.

 Eligibility information

This year, there has been a change in government guidance which we must adhere to.

  • The FLU vaccination remains available to patients over 65yrs and those who are “clinically at risk” as defined in chapter 19 of the green book.
  • The COVID vaccination is now ONLY available to patients over 75yrs and those who are “immunosuppressed” as defined in chapter 14a of the green book. Patients under 75 are only eligible if they meet the criteria below. If you have not received an invitation for both vaccines and feel you may be eligible, please fill in an online form.

This change affects patients who have previously been eligible for COVID vaccinations due to conditions such as asthma or COPD, diabetes, heart disease, liver disease, neurological disease or chronic kidney disease who are now eligible for the FLU vaccination ONLY as a “clinically at risk” patient.

SHINGLES, PNEUMONIA & RSV

We will invite eligible patients to have these vaccines directly. They will not be given at the same time as the Flu and Covid vaccine. For further information please click HERE.
