At Holt, all of our patients are nominally allocated a named accountable GP at the time of registration. This allows us to keep the number of allocated patients evenly spread out among the partners. This, in turn, allows us to better manage administrative tasks and cover in times of absence.
If you do not know who your named accountable GP is, you can check on the NHS App or, if you receive medication, your named GP will be printed on the right hand side of your prescription form.
It does not affect your interactions with the surgery.
All patients are encouraged to book appointments with the doctor or healthcare professional of their choice: availability permitting. Whether or not they are your registered GP does not matter. Equally, if you do prefer to see your named accountable GP, we cannot guarantee that they will be available at all times. Therefore, if your needs are urgent, you may need to discuss them with an alternative doctor.
